Suttons' Maple Syrup

100 Words Project

With this series I wanted to show a childhood memory of mine.  As far back as I can remember my family has been producing maple syrup.  It goes back four generations, starting with my great grandfather.  I spent every weekend and some weeknights on my uncles’ property with my father, before his passing twelve years ago.  Since then I rarely have stepped foot into the sugarhouse.  With these images I wanted to convey a sense of how I remembered it from when I was little to how it has changed now.  Moments like that stick with us forever, this is one of mine.
